Located in the heart of the Pessac-Leognon Appellation, this estate has a long history, its castle going back to the 7th Century and was awarded Grand Cru Classe Status in the 1950's.
Although Couhins la Gravette is the 2nd wine of the property, it is made in exactly the same way as the Grand Vin and in 1968 after being acquired by the Institut National de la Research Agronomique (INRA), it leads in the field of sustainable farming.
If you choose red, your bottle has: 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc & 3% Petit Verdot. Displaying a dark ruby garnet colour, on the nose there are ripe berry fruits with hints of smokiness and in the mouth the wine is soft and round with a nice balance of acidity.
In your delicious bottle is 95% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Sauvignon Gris. Refreshing and fruity, it is perfect with cheese and any seafood prepared in butter and olive oil.
